Toxic Metal Poisoning and Fatigue
Toxic metals are systemic poisons which inhibit biochemical enzyme functioning, which can cause fatigue from body malfunction. These toxic metals are non-essential trace metals and are known to accumulate in tissues and biological fluids, producing acute and chronic toxicity.
Depression and suicidal thoughts seem to be a natural part of heavy metal poisoning. Mental depression has a sudden onset and usually is not caused by anyone set of circumstances. It arrives when everything is going great. Doctors, after putting their depressed patients through numerous tests, finally refer them to a psychiatrist, which only prolongs their misery. This can make them feel guilty for the feeling they can't control.
Common toxic metals are Aluminum, Arsenic, Cadmium, Lead and Mercury. We hear very little about Nickel. A dentist removed silver fillings and found ten different metals in them including Nickel. The following metals were in one patient’s teeth: Nickel, Chromium, Cobalt, Beryllium, Silver, Tin, Copper, Zinc, Mercury and Barium. Nickel is widely used as a catalyst to harden fats. It is found in most margarines, peanut butter and hardened fats. It can be in the drinking water, refined and processed foods, superphosphate fertilizers and tobacco smoke.
Nickel settles in the sinuses, head, heart or spinal column. It acts as a poison to the nervous system. Too much nickel in the human body may paralyze the spinal column. Many locked joints are caused by an accumulation of nickel. It is cancer causing and respiratory cancer has been linked to it which can develop within three years after inhalation of dust contaminated with nickel. Nickel carbonyl is found in cigarette smoke and is harmful to both the smoker and non-smoker who breathe "second hand" cigarette smoke pollution.
Nickel is found in the pancreas and in small amounts is necessary for life processes and has some unknown role in metabolism of sugar, starches and fats. High levels of nickel can occur in persons having mycardial infarction, stroke, toxemia of pregnancy, uterine cancer and leukemia. Before you have a filling or crown you might want to ask your dentist about its content. Research has found that about one in ten women and one of a hundred men are allergic to nickel and it is one of the most widely used dental materials. No! Your fillings are not all silver.
Aluminum contamination is a major health threat today. High levels are showing up in the human body. Absorption of aluminum by the body is associated with Alzheimer's Disease, Parkinson's disease and dialysis dementia. It lowers the body's immune system. Pots and pans, foil, antacids and baking powder are common items with aluminum. It is found in pickles, relishes and some cheeses, in soft drinks and beers in uncoated aluminum cans. It is found in water supplies and the soil. Aluminum inhibits fluorine and phosphorus metabolism, resulting over a long period of time in a loss of essential minerals from the bones and sets the stage for osteoporosis. The Harvard Medical School Newsletter published an article that stated that America is experiencing an epidemic of osteoporosis in the elderly and by the age of thirty five the seed is sown.
Arsenic is in our environment as a by product of industry. It's in the air, a pollutant that we are exposed to each day of our lives. It is found in the refining processes of glass making, pesticide plants spray and in coal fired boilers. It is found in hidden items such as dishwasher sealant and has been known to poison whole families. Arsenic is in coal and in the air wherever it is burned. Coal workers are at potential risk. There is an accumulation of arsenic from liquor. Arsenic settles in the muscles and back. Spasms in the back can pull the spine out of place. Arsenic poisoning produces nervous irritations in various parts of the body. It is found mainly in the liver. In females arsenic levels increase in the blood during menstruation and during the fifth and sixth months of pregnancy. Symptoms of arsenic toxicity are fatigue, loss of pain sensation and inflammation of the lining membrane of the stomach and intestines. Arsenic replaces essential trace minerals, which disrupts the body's metabolism.
Cadmium is a by-product of industry and is extremely widespread. It is in the air, soil and water. It is used as a hardener in tires. We acquire it by absorbing it through our tissues. People with hypertension usually have elevated cadmium levels and are usually low in Zinc. It affects the pancreas and spleen. Coronary artery disease tends to rise when the intake of cadmium is high. It is also found in bone marrow and in the male testes.
Cadmium can produce high blood pressure, kidney and liver damage, anemia and a host of other symptoms as well as fatigue. Over many years scientists used to think that nothing could remove cadmium deposits. Science has proven that Iron and Vitamin C together can reduce cadmium. Selenium and zinc are the best protection against cadmium toxicity. Don't let anyone tell you that minerals are not vital in our world today.
Lead poisoning is the major pollutant in our environment and we breathe it constantly. It is a major health threaten our children. Even Dr. Tim Johnson on Good Morning America says it is a very real threat to our children. Lead causes a gradual build up of chronic problems such as allergies. It decreases immunity to diseases. It builds up in the tissues. Low levels can bring subtle changes and problems. It is felt that most people in the Unites States may be suffering partial brain dysfunction as a result of lead pollution. Lead intake increases twenty-five percent when you smoke.
Lead deposits in the brain and causes brain damage, retardation and hyperactivity. A Scottish study found that all retarded persons tested had extremely high levels of lead. Many children are born with large amounts of lead and cadmium which causes nervous disorders similar to epileptic type nerve transmission problems and are usually given phenobarbital. Lead goes into the brain and displaces copper, iron and zinc. Oxygen is essential to brain function and the lack of copper in the brain causes the brain cells to breathe with difficulty. Zinc deficiency can have greater difficulty learning as well as memory problems.
Lead interferes with the normal functioning of the nervous system and causes damage to the myelin sheath in the brain. Lead interferes with the energy in the body, with enzyme exchange and with the nervous system. It accumulates in the bones and displaces calcium. It causes the body to be more susceptible to diseases, muscle weakness, tremors, gout, lack of coordination, clumsiness, and symptoms similar to multiple sclerosis. Lead by-products are found in auto exhaust, air pollution, canned food and canned drinks, mascara, pewter tableware, plumbing, roadside vegetables, tobacco smoke, water, wine, hair colorings and ceramic glaze. Lead activates the enzyme hyaluronidase which breaks down the synovial fluids in bone joints. It breaks down tissue and collagen and makes you more susceptible to diseases such as cancer and arthritis.
The amalgam used to fill teeth is 40 to 50 percent mercury. Under the pressure of hard chewing mercury vapor is released from the fillings and is absorbed by the body. To make matters worse the bacteria in the mouth can convert mercury into methyl mercury, the most toxic form of mercury. It has an affinity for proteins, attaching itself to blood cells and interfering with the function of the glands, nervous system and the brain. It has a potentially dangerous affect on the lungs, heart, liver and kidneys. It has a depressing effect on the immune system. Dr. Carlton Fredricks said that mercury toxity could have been responsible for some of his patients' susceptibility to yeast infections and allergies. Not all people are susceptible to mercury poisoning. Mercury is found in treating seeds in farming, cosmetics, fabric softeners, fish and sea foods, fungicides, grains or seeds containing fungicides, laxatives, sewage sludge and some hemorrhoid suppository preparations.
Toxic mercury causes depression, irritability, tremor, dizziness and diarrhea. As the metal builds up over a number of years, it leads to progressive degeneration of the brain, liver, kidneys and intestines.
Protection Against Toxic Metals
Vitamin A is necessary for the cells to be able to eliminate the toxic metal absorbed from chemicals in food, air and water.
Vitamin B-complex protects the immune system. Under stress the B vitamins need to be increased. They protect the nerve sheath and prevent lead from damaging the nervous system.
Vitamin C with bioflavonoids stimulates natural interferon production in the body. Interferon protects and strengthens the immune system. Vitamin C is essential to take each day to keep our tissues saturated and protect the body from toxic metals. Bioflavonoids increase the strength of the capillary walls, reduces inflammation and helps keep the collagen healthy. Collagen is a cement that sticks the cells together and is essential for healthy muscles, skin and joints.
Fiber dilutes stool bile acids and reduces the concentration of toxic carcinogenic substances in the colon and eliminates them. Fiber eliminates excess fat in the body. Fiber such as psyllium, oat bran and whole grains are excellent. Apple pectin removes lead. It is changed into galacturonic acid (one of natures cleansing agents) after digestion. This acid combines with lead to form an insoluble metallic salt that cannot be absorbed. Eat fiber daily.
Oral Chelation is a formula with vitamins, minerals, glandulars, amino acids and herbs used to clean the system. Natural nutrients that gradually dissolve and eliminate deposits on the arteries. It is very effective to rid the body of high levels of toxic metals.
Distilled Water is a natural chelation, always use with minerals.
Lecithin combines with choline and produces acetylcholine, a vital neurotransmitter. Lecithin is an essential brain food.
Calcium is an indispensable mineral; it actually penetrates the bones and slowly displaces lead. It prevents accumulation of lead from the intestinal tract. The best calcium is an herbal calcium formula.
Garlic is a natural antibiotic, lowers blood pressure and cleans the veins, it helps in digestion and is excellent for lungs and respiratory problems. Garlic is rich in sulphur, which attracts metals and eliminates them from the body. Garlic contains germanium and selenium with chelation ability to neutralize heavy metal toxicity.
Ginkgo is a strong antioxidant, free radical scavenger and increases the flow of nutrients and oxygen to all cells. It improves memory, mental efficiency and concentration. Reduces anxiety, tension, symptoms of senility and age related cerebral disorders.
Gotu Kola is food for the brain. Purifies the blood and helps eliminate fatigue and memory loss. Increases mental alertness. It is a tonic for the whole body. Helps rebuild energy reserves, especially after a nervous breakdown. Protects the body against toxins.
Herbs containing sulphur are excellent to protect the body from heavy metal toxicity. Horseradish (found in ALJ), Alfalfa, Burdock, Dandelion, Garlic, Sarsaparilla, Kelp, Echinacea, Lobelia, Mullein, Parsley, Capsicum and Eyebright.
Zinc is an essential mineral and helps to eliminate lead from the body as well as other toxins.
Kelp attacks itself to any lead that is present and carries it harmlessly out of the system.
CoQ-10 protects the immune system. Strengthens the body's resistance to stress and disease by making tissues stronger and healthier. Aids in oxygenation within the cells and tissues. Good for heart disease, aging, cancer and obesity.
Chlorophyll is nature's natural cleanser. Cleans the blood stream and eliminates toxins from the bowels.
Suma contains germanium to protect the immune system. Protects the body from stress. Improves circulation, heart, arthritis and balances hormones.
Algin is a natural extract from kelp. It is a concentrated form of nutrient that is very effective in eliminating the body of radioactive strontium 90. It is beneficial to eliminate chemical additives that we ingest daily.
Algin grabs hold of the toxic material and excretes it out of the body. It acts like a magnet, drawing the radioactive material and other unwanted toxic waste that is harmful to the system.
Nervine herbs are essential to protect the central nervous system and the brain. They feed and nourish these nerves. Hops, Valerian, Passion flower, Wood betony, Chamomile, Black cohosh and Lobelia.
Hydrochloric acid and digestive Enzymes are essential for proper absorption of essential nutrients, such as minerals that bind metals and eliminate them from the body.
Heavy metals create negative electrical current and creates an imbalance in the body, as well as other numerous problems. Heavy Metal Detox is a great way to cleanse.
